It was 70 degrees on Monday here in the great state of Illinois. It snowed on Tuesday and the weather app on my iPhone says it's 30 degrees at the present moment.

The death that is winter is quickly approaching.

I say death because it's true. Here in the midwest, things die around this time of year. We don't see this as a bad thing, however. Since we know that for things to live, for things to thrive, they must die first. This is as true for fields of corn as it is for our hearts. And so in celebration of our impending death and hibernation I've made a Spotify playlist (listen below or subscribe to it here).

Enjoy.

This playlist is fantastic! I found your blog on recommendation of Jessica Heights (At the Muthering Heights blog...but I met her through the blogging conference Allume she co-founded.) I told her about my new vision for blogging as a creative and Christian artist, and yours was the one first name she recommended to read. :) I am doing a 31 days of playlist series over at my blog (All Manner of Inspiration), and I have included some of the music on your playlist on some of mine. It was lovely to find your blog! Thanks for the music! Sarah Caldwell | 14th Nov 2012
Sadly we can't play this up here in Canada, (spotify is not available in this region..so says their site) but I'm looking forward to looking up some of those artists! New music is wonderful :) Heidi | 19th Nov 2012
