WHY KNOWING YOUR OWN STORY KEEPS YOU FROM RIPPING OFF EVERYONE ELSE’S

Last week a lovely suprise came in the mail. It was the latest issue of Collide magazine, which included an article Jarrod and I had been working on. It made it to the cover and we were very happy with its content. Let it be said that co-writing, however difficult, is a very worthwhile task.

In the article titled, Why knowing your own story keeps you from ripping off everyone else’s, we talked about how our creativity is often most effective when it comes from our God given stories rather than someone else’s. The article also includes some beautiful photos of our fellow MHGS alum Jen Grabarczyk, who we believe embodies our little philosophy.

The article is not yet online but we would LOVE your thoughts. If you’d like to read it, just email me and I’ll get it to you straight away.

As you read the article, keep in mind the context (the target audience is the evangelical church arts crew, etc). Of course any and all dialogue is welcomed. Do you agree? Do you love it? Think it’s all fluff? Still have no idea what we are talking about? Theological critique? Let us know.
