A Sunday @ Starbucks.
M and I have been living in the lovely little town of Elgin, IL for the past month now. Katie Lange (sounds exactly like KD Lange) our real estate lady assured us that Elgin, especially the downtown parts, were “up and coming.”  Most of Elgin’s recent economic growth is due it part to the huge riverboat casino literally down the street.
At any rate, I have been desperate to find a good little coffee shop to settle into. Ravenheart, the closeset to an indie shop is right down the street. However, it is not open on Sunday’s. Ugh.
As luck may have it, I stumbed onto a brand new Starbucks not too far from our place today. Funny how they always seem to put new Starbucks locations in the exact places you’d wish they’d be.
If you’ve been into a new Starbucks of late, be sure to enjoy the late 70’s, Danish-inspired tables and chairs.
Ahhh. A little piece of art deco deep in the heart of a Chicagoland suburb.
Thank. You. Lord.
