It is finished.
After two years in Seattle I am officially…wholly…completely done with graduate school.  No more papers, no more reports, no more personal reflections to turn in.  NOTHING!
This has been a weird few months filled a great many number of “endings.”  All of which were in anticipation of the moment where I would be actually finished with everything.
That moment has arrived.
I am sitting on the 2nd floor at Bauhaus staring at Seattle’s skyline, drinking a grape pop, and contemplating the fact that I am, in fact, done.
I honestly have no idea what to do next.
Although I’ve said it a million times before here…I never ever, ever, ever thought I would end up out here getting a master’s degree.
The fact that I am truly done doing a thing I never ever thought I’d do is surreal to be sure.
Despite the healthy dose of confusion I am experiencing, there are a few things, however, that I do know for sure:
I will be in Seattle for just 12 more hours.
I am getting married to a beautiful, amazing girl in 9 days.
I will be making art of the undetermined variety…for a living…for at least the next 10 months.
I will miss Seattle and my friends here deeply.
And now, some final words to this kind place…

Dear Emerald City,

Even though you liked to pissy-rain most everyday I was here, you have been good to me Seattle.  I am a better man because of you.  I thank you for your oftentimes annoying meteor-logic consistency and for the incredible beauty you let us experience on your off-days.  You will be terribly missed.

Warm midwest regards,

Me.
