"I’m a firm believer that experiences and relationships shape who you are. While reading Untitled, I was especially challenged by the thoughts that Blaine had regarding where our creation and inspiration as an artist comes from. He suggests starting from the inside out. Beginning at our core.
I chose the quote “The best ideas must move you before they can move someone else,” because I truly find that when my heart is passionate about the design I’m creating, other people are moved more deeply by it. It is through my own experiences, whether in travel, a conversation with a friend, or listening to music, where I get most inspired and energized to create great art that has a lasting impact on people.
This quote was a reminder to me that my goal in my creative work should be to move people. It also serves to remind me that when I’m struggling for a new idea, I need to reflect on my past experiences and start with what moves me."
